Cannot hibernate or shutdown from Windows with the touchscreen connected
  1. Go to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager
  2. Click on Mice and other pointing devices->USB Touchscreen Controller
  3. Click on the Power Management Tab
  4. UNCHECK "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby"
  5. Click on OK
